Like Upcycling?

As most of you know, I started a new job about four months ago. I am now the Communications Strategist, Social Media at Earth Day Canada. If you have never heard of us, we are non-profit, environmental organization aimed at educating Canadians on improving the state of the environment. One of the ways that we do this is creating fun campaigns, like the Upcycling Challenge that we are running right now.

 

Basically, we want you to make something new from something old, which is what all of us DIY-er types do anyways, so why not win some prizes for it? Up for grabs are some awesome power tools from Panasonic - a state-of-the-art drill for individual winners, the drill and a jigsaw for group winners and a electronic whiteboard for classroom winners.  Not to mention some notoriety on our website and social media channels!

Projects will be judged on three categories - Most Upcycled, Most Inventive and Best Makeover (I think this last one is where you guys will shine!!)

Anyone interested in participating? Come on, we all do these types of projects anyways! And, as our website says, "do something good for the planet, people and your pocketbook!"
