So, let me start at the beginning…a few of us – Kerry and her Mom, Brittany and her friend, Sharon and her friend, Jen and myself - met for breakfast before the taping to start the day out right with some eggs and toast.
Next up, it was CBC Studios! We waited in line for a bit at and then we were brought in to another holding area. It was so weird being there because I would see all of these women walking around and recognize them, but could only remember their Twitter or blog name! It was surreal! While we were waiting to go in, Jayme, the web producer who I immediately liked, came around, took pictures of us and tweeted them. This is the one she took:
Then it was studio time!
Steven and Chris!! I’m not sure what Chris was talking about at this moment, but he was very animated!
Then it was show time!! The whole taping lasted about an hour and a half or so, but it was so very entertaining! They did two viewer Q and A’s with DIY projects and Chef Rodney Bowers (loved him!) made pulled pork sandwiches - more on that later! The last segment was on on how to make a proper pina colada and last, but not least, Jenny McCarthy was on the show promoting her new book Love, Lust and Faking It. She was very charming and funny.
But Steven and Chris really stole the show for me…as they should have – hello, the show is called Steven and Chris! I just found them so professional, genuine, funny and personable.
After the taping, we were escorted out of the studio and all fed lunch – the pulled pork sandwiches from the earlier segment! They were so tasty! Next, it was Q and A time with Steven and Chris – a special part of the day just for the bloggers. But first, there were photo ops:
The whole day was just really magical. I felt like I was part of something very special hanging out with the other bloggers and getting this unique experience at the Steven and Chris show. I want to say a big thank you to the S and C crew for organizing such a great day.
If you are interested in watching this taping (I highly recommend it!), it is being aired on Friday, October 22nd at 2pm….which I will be pvr-ing. And I think I am going to start pvr-ing their show everyday!

The taping was great fun. Seeing your photo now I realized I saw you yesterday, but unfortunately it's so hard sometimes to put a blog to a face!

Sad I didn't get to meet you Shannon! We were sitting in the same row it looks like -- I was on the other side of the row. It was such a fun time. Hopefully meet you next time.
I'm kicking myself for not putting faces to the bloggers I read!! I was way at the back so it was hard to see folks (well I saw the backs of heads anyway). Next time!
Wow! Looks like you had a great day! So awesome!
Hi Shannon,
The show was great...but one of the best parts was meeting so many of design bloggers that I tweet with...so that was an extra treat. Great blog as usual. Look forward to seeing you again soon!!
