Via La Dolce Vita
This kitchen was designed by the talented Erika from Urban Grace Interiors. Love the open shelving, the pendant lamps, the huge island and the gorgeous windows bringing in lots of light!

I just found this kitchen the other day and I am so smitten! Have you ever seen a vent good with a scalloped edge? So cute! And every inch of the wall is covered in subway tile. Oh boy.

Another talented blogger and interior designer, Erin from Elements of Style, is the process of designing a brownstone apartment. I love how she used the wallpaper throughout - as a backsplash, behind the cupboards and on the wall. That marble island is pretty impressive too. Click here to see what the kitchen looked like before - huge transformation!

This photo was from the amazing Lonny Magazine. I love the dark cabinets and how great is that rug?

How great is that chalkboard wall? I don't care if they are being overplayed right now, I want one in my kitchen.

What is your style of kitchen? Do you like these? Or would you prefer a more formal, traditional kitchen?
And I have a secret to share - not only do I keep all these kitchen images for inspiration and for my blog posts, I keep them just in case I ever win the lottery! If it ever happened, I envision us buying a beautiful house with a so-so kitchen and then hiring a contracting company to tear it down. I would then show them these pictures and say "Create this!" This moment plays over in my head a lot. Yes, I know the chances of this happening is almost impossible, but a girl can dream, right?

I LOVE these...white kitchens are by far my favorite kitchens (mine is white as well) and the whimsical touches here are gorgeous!
I liked the second kitchen the best! That scalloped vent caught my eye...and I like the chalkboard wall, but the dust all over the floor would drive me nuts!
Keep dreaming!

Mark this down as another thing we have in common! I loooove white kitchens. The second picture you posted (from Desire to Inspire) I also found the other day and fell in love with! I have actually marked it as my dream kitchen! :)
Those are all so beautiful! Every kitchen should have a little whimsy, who wants a stuffy kitchen?
great collection of photos - thanks for sharing!
I loooove that marble island with the ghost stools!
I love that last kitchen best! Nothing like a chalkboard wall. Great post Shannon.
Have a great weekend!
I adore white kitchens and I'm still getting over the news we'll not be able to have one in our new house. Oh, well, onwards and upwards I guess.
You are also completely right about The Situation last night. I was cringing at the way he was sweet talking her out the door--although he did find a pretty good way of sugar coating it, she didn't seem too bothered. At this point I think half these girls they're pulling just want to be on TV. I also think he did get his just desserts, though, with that "girl" he met at the club.
open shelving, check. blackboard walls, check. lots of counter space, check. these kitchens are awesome!!!
Though not a fan of white kitchens, these are certainly nice and sort of change my mind. I like wood tones, but definately not a formal kitchen. ANd I too love the chalk board wall.
"Save image as...", "Save image as...", "Save image as..."
Bon weekend!
I LOVE these! I want an all white kitchen so bad!
Luvs!
I really like the wallpaper on the back of the cabinets -- great look.
The Lonny kitchen really appeals to me because I like the openness of a kitchen with no upper cabinets. I'd much rather have all those windows!!
Good luck with the lottery!!

I too am a fan of white and whimsical kitchens - whenever I look through my folders, I find photo after photo of white kitchens studded with colourful, bohemian detail.
Love your blog - pop by mine sometime.
