a house is not a home…without craigslist

As I was getting ready to write today’s post, I realized I have never done a dining room post.  The other day on Twitter, @StyleAtHome revealed 5 different dining rooms.  I really liked this one:

craigslist_sept29

And here it is on Craigslist:

image
1. Mirror – This mirror is an exact replica from the one in the picture, but this one is a steal at $65!
2. Sideboard – I was pretty happy when I found this sideboard – it worked perfectly! And only $150
3. Harvest Table – These tables are gorgeous and locally handmade from reclaimed wood. For $800, I think it’s totally worth it.
4. Bench – This bench is from the same seller as the table.  This one is $250.
5. Bertoia Chair – It’s a reproduction at $200, but an original is a few hundred more.  Paint it white like the picture, or leave it black.
6. Chandelier – I couldn’t find a pendant lamp like the one in the picture, but I did find this beauty and it closely resembles the candelabra on the sideboard.  The chandelier is $145.

And that’s all folks!

Really Really good match up on this one.... such a good an valuable lesson here ... also, may not be there the first time when you go looking but building it over time from a well laid out plan would be better for the pocket book anyway!

Love the mirror and the table is perfect. We're looking for a harvest table for the new house--this is looking like a great possibility!

Hi Shannon, I can't believe you found absolutely all the items on Craigslist! Even the table.. that's a hard find! Speaking of Style at Home, they're doing a $17-dollar subscription special in Vancouver through www.dealticker.ca.
Great post!!
