Simple Soiree - Star Gazing Party

There is a new feature starting this week! Simple Soirees!  I have a background in event planning, so I thought I would incorporate that into a how-to series on having a fun and easy party.  Each post will show an invitation idea, a special drink for your guests and tasty recipes, all pertaining to a theme.

For this week, it's all about celebrities!! The Toronto International Film Festival is starting here in Toronto on the 9th and I thought it would be fun to invite friends over for a drink and appetizers and then head out to one of the films, while keeping our eyes peeled for celebrities! This theme could also work on Oscar night, Emmy night and Grammy night.

Invitations:
You'll be sure to grab the attention of your guests if you send them these invitation cards from Card Candy Boutique.  Love the movie quotes!

Cocktails:
Why not make some of your favourite stars' favourite drinks for your party thanks to Drink Swap.
Via 1, 2

Munchies:
I am following the alcohol theme with two classy and yummy foods combined with liquor.

 Decoration:
It's gold, it's flashy, it's Hollywood...and it is forecasting how much fun you and your friends are going to have during your Simple Soiree! Via Banter Banner.

And now it's time to catch that new flick that everyone is talking about...and maybe you will be sitting next to a celebrity or two!

Hope you guys enjoy this new feature!

I thoroughly enjoy the new feature - you've always been fantastic at bringing an entire theme to life through your whimsical / creative visions - remember Keaty's bday?? SO cute! Plus, how could you not like blue cheese vodka balls??

Now if only i had inherited some of these creative genes...

You have a background in even planning?! That sounds fun. I've done that a couple of times and I do get my hands full but I think as long as you are having fun and passionate about what you did then it's pretty much a win win situation.
P.S. the munchies and the mussels look really good. yum!
