What's Your Style In One Picture Challenge
One of my favourite blogs, From the Right Bank, is putting on a What's Your Style In One Picture Challenge. I am a fairly new follower of this blog, so I haven't participated in the previous challenges, but I am so pumped to participate in this one! So, without further adieu, here is my room that describes my style in a nutshell (both images are from the same room, just two different views of it).:
It is a room designed by the amazing Summer Thornton. I have had these photos in my files for a long time and I just keep going back to them. I love the colour combinations of the yellow, purple, teal, white and black; the wallpapered art behind the couch; the gorgeous chandelier; the black built-in shelves; the mix of old and new furniture; the hardwood floors; the big windows letting sunshine in...I could go on and on and on. I also think there is a hint of "whimsy" in the room, which you know I'm all over.

Hi, Shannon! Thanks for being the first to meet the challenge! :) I've always liked this room too but I hadn't seen the other side. Seeing it like this, I think I like this room even better now. Are those Josef Frank pattern drapes I see? And I'm also spotting the window seat which I've actually posted before. I had no idea it was the same house, much less the same room so this post is a real treat. Thanks so much for playing along!

the pillows on the wingback chairs give the space just a bit of a modern-vibe. i love how eclectic this space is. just my style.

Those chairs are so cool. I'd love to see them in a dark room with a small round table in between them for reading. Those super large pillows make them even more inviting.

Love this choice! The room is gorgeous, and I love that there is a touch of imperial trellis in there. Those chairs are yummy!
