So, I have collected these tea cups over the last little while and I thought they would be perfect for my little indoor garden. I wanted to make them more secure, so I bought some Weldbond from Michael's (apparently it would glue anything together) and glued the cup to the saucer.
I applied the Weldbond to both the saucer and bottom of the tea cup. I was kind of nervous to use the glue because it seemed pretty heavy duty, but it worked really well and dried clear.
Then I found the perfect platter for $10 at HomeSense that fit all three tea cups.
Now, when it came to the flowers/plants that I was going to use, I really didn't have a clue. When I went to my friend Robin's flower store, Pistil Flowers, she suggested I plant some "succulents". They looked like cacti (plural of cactus?) to me, but when I looked into it, a cactus is the most popular type of succulent - you learn something new everyday! Anyways, I bought three different succulents from Robin. I like how they are all spiky and rough-looking with the delicate tea cups. I also like that you only have to water them once a month!!!! They are fool proof!!!
So far my little garden is doing really well. Once I get a real backyard, I definitely want to do an outdoor one...but now I'll just stick with my cute tea cup garden.

Very cute!
Hi Shannon,
I LOVE Weldbond!!! It's the most versatile glue that I use. And, what a wonderful use for really pretty tea cups!! You never cease to amaze!!!
Awww it turned out sooo well! What a perfect platter for all 3, hopefully Keaton doesn't prick himself on the cacti!
soo cute! I want to make some with my grandfathers random mixed saucers and cups. I would like to put something unexpected in it like maybe a cactus or venus fly trap perhaps....
A venus fly trap would be so cool!
Dear Shannon,
I am a total tea lover and am celebrating September by posting as many tea -
related projects as I can find. You can read about it on my blog

I would like to feature your cute tea cup garden - would it be alright to use the photo from your post to do so?
Also if you have any other tea-related projects, let me know. :-)
Love from Germany
